The color is a true chalky black that reads almost like soft charcoal on my walls, and the acrylic base made coverage surprisingly even with just two coats. I’ve scrubbed a scuff near the light switch and the finish hasn’t dulled at all, which is exactly what I needed for a hallway.
The chalky matte finish went on smooth and the 100% acrylic formula means I only needed two coats for a perfect, even look. It’s held up great against my kids’ fingerprints near the light switches, which is honestly more than I expected from a flat paint.
The coverage on this one surprised me—two coats and the wall looked flawless, no patchiness at all. It's water-based so clean-up with soap and water was a breeze, and the chalky finish gives the room a soft, matte depth that photographs beautifully.
