Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines Classic Interior Paint is water-based, with a 100% acrylic formula. This paint is designed to provide a durable finish that hides and covers in fewer coats with great adhesion and easy application so you can get it right the first time.
The color shifts so much depending on the light—by day it reads as a deep green-black, but at dusk it softens into something almost smoky. Rolled it on in the bedroom and that almost-black green is so moody and rich in natural light. The 100% acrylic formula went on smooth and didn't splatter as much as I feared.
The color depth is exactly what I wanted—that almost-black green shifts beautifully with the light through the day. The 100% acrylic formula leveled out smoothly on my second coat with no visible brush marks, and it's held up great to daily hallway traffic so far.
