Natural yet refined, this rustic vase is molded from hand thrown clay, then air dried outside. The dark finish is achieved naturally through a smoke firing process in a kiln. As each piece is handmade and unique, slight variations may occur.
Style tip: Fill this rustic vase with our favorite, realistic Austin Rose Stems
The smoke firing gave it this deep, matte black that shifts slightly in different light—exactly the kind of texture you can't fake. I've had it on the dining table for a week and it holds its weight beautifully without feeling heavy-handed.
I keep catching myself just staring at the matte black texture from the smoke firing — it’s got so much depth that photos don’t quite capture. You can tell it’s hand-thrown, and the slight unevenness in the rim makes it feel more like an artisan piece than something mass-produced.
The smoke firing really gives it a deep, matte black that shifts subtly in different light—my living room feels warmer with it on the shelf. You can tell it’s hand-thrown because the walls have slight, organic ripples that no machine could replicate. It’s already the first thing guests comment on.
